The Office of the Ombudsperson is proactively sharing its expertise with public sector employees through our Fairness in Practice: Skills Development Workshop. All workshops will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and are offered to you at no cost.

If you are a public sector employee under our jurisdiction and would like to register, email on or after Tuesday January 14th, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. Please provide your name, position, organization, email, phone number, and which session you would like to attend. You will be contacted to confirm your registration and be provided with additional details about the workshop. To allow for cross-sectoral learning, we limit the number of registrations for each public authority to five participants. If you have a large group of staff interested in the workshop, please contact us to discuss a tailored workshop for your organization.

In our fairness workshops, participants will explore the principles of administrative fairness and effective complaint resolution for public sector employees. Workshop topics will include:

  • Making and communicating decisions fairly and effectively
