We are a small team dedicated to our role as B.C.’s independent voice for fairness.

Since 1979, the Office of the Ombudsperson has responded to individual complaints by applying the Ombudsperson Act to impartially determine whether a person may have been treated unfairly with respect to an act, omission, decision or procedure of a provincial public authority.

An independent statutory office of the provincial legislature, the Office of the Ombudsperson offers excellent benefit coverage, a healthy work/life balance and a diversity of work that is both challenging and meaningful. Our offices are in a centrally-located modern building in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia.
